1mm, 2mm and 3mm Plastic shims for Paving
Levelling shims designed to fit on top of fixed height pads to make up small differences in the level.
Levelling shims alter the level by very small amounts in order to get a solid, flat paving surface where the slab thickness alters slightly from one flag to another, because of irregularities in the deck surface beneath, or where an unexpected door threshold occurs.
Our shims have been designed to fit on top of all fixed height support pads and will make up those small differences in the level. To avoid one of the slabs rocking, the installer can simply place a levelling shim onto the support pad to make up the difference.
All shims can be snapped apart into quarters or half shape, where only one corner needs extra support. This is often required where just one of the flags becomes unsteady and needs bringing up to the level of the others.
2.5mm TPE Acoustic / Anti-shock Shims
Effective vibration & sound control for tiles or timber decking.
These circular shims are styled and shaped in the same design as the standard plastic levelling shim but are made from TPE instead of plastic to reduce sound and vibration from traffic passing to the roof deck below.
The shims are 2.5mm thick and are suitable for both paving and timber decking support pads and pedestals.
They act as an effective vibration or sound control layer. They deaden the sound of pedestrian traffic over slabs, tiles or timber decking.
This can be of enormous benefit on projects where terraces or walkways are constructed on top of residential properties and can drastically improve the experience of residents.
3mm-8mm Shock Absorbing Wedge
Wedge-shaped levellers loose-fitted under the pedestal base plate.
They are loose fitted beneath the pad to take out the fall of the roof-deck and remove the angle which the pads are sitting. They slope from a thickness of 8mm at the highest point down to 3mm at the lowest point. They are very effective as a shock absorber and membrane protection when used with plastic paving pads.
They are lightweight, flexible, robust and easy to install.
Slope Correctors 1%, 2% and 3% gradient
Slope correctors are wedge shaped plastic levellers which are clipped or fitted onto the base plate of adjustable pedestals.
Slope Correctors are circular wedge-shaped discs which are designed to clip under the baseplates of adjustable support pads to arrest the fall in the roof deck. They are lightweight and easy to apply as they are secured to the baseplate by two clips at the side which hook over the edge of the baseplate to hold them both secure.
This design of slope corrector is far superior to other levellers on the market as other brands deal with the fall by wedging up or tilting the headpiece of the pad. This means the pad itself is off-line. Wallbarn slope correctors adjust the fall under the base, meaning that the support pad is always completely straight and the force down is always completely vertical. The weight of the slab is always going directly downwards and is far more secure.
The slope correctors are available in three sizes, with a 1% slope, a 2% slope or a 3% slope. More than one corrector can be fitted beneath the baseplate.
Slope correctors can be used with Universal, Balance & Mega Balance pedestals.
Ridges running around the inner ring of the slope corrector will secure to the underside of the smaller baseplate so the system remains stable.
They are packed into boxes of 20 units each.
Cross spacers
Increase the size of drainage gaps on existing paving or for additional separation guides.
If pavers wish to increase the size of the drainage gaps on existing paving, or need additional separation guides, CROSS SPACERS are ideal.
Available in a variety of thicknesses these polypropylene two-part pieces are slotted together to create a small cross shape, which can be fitted into the junction between four paving slabs to ensure they remain straight and in place.
They are loose fitting, and can be introduced at the corners or along the line of the paving, at any point where installers feel the need for a separation guide.
The cross spacers are available 3mm, 4mm and 5mm thick.
Metal edging plate
A handy tool to help installers of paving to set their slabs directly up to the wall.
The new Metal Edging Plate is a supporting beam which is laid onto the headpiece of ASP or Megapad pedestals to support the end paving slab when it is butting directly against the wall or parapet.
The plate has a raised, curved edge which butts against the wall and braces the slab against the wall effectively.
The plate is held down by the weight of the two slabs laid on top of it and the pedestal and by jutting out it will support the two slabs which hang out over the headpiece of the pedestal. This removes any risk of the slab tipping up if people stand on the very edge of them.
