Adjustable Pedestals for Paving and Decking

    September 24th, 2024

Wallbarn supplies the largest range of pedestals in the UK for a range of uses. From cost-effective fixed height pads for simple paving and decking applications to high-end terrace and podium deck finishes using adjustable pedestals.

Adjustable pedestals range in height from 10mm up to 1020mm. These specially designed units can suspend paving or joists for decking off the waterproofed deck. This allows water to drain between and beneath the slabs preventing localised flooding on the terrace.

The structure beneath is ventilated and installers can create flat upper surfaces on roofs built to fall by twisting the stems of the units across the slope.

This is a loose lay system, the weight of the slab/decking holds everything in place, and there is no need for mechanical fixings into the deck.
The Universal range can hold both paving slabs and joists for the decking on the same headpiece.

Self-levelling ‘Balance’ pedestals auto adjust at the head to accommodate imperfections in the deck beneath (for situations such as felt laps) to further improve the aesthetic and create a completely flat paving surface.

Heavy Duty Megapads can tolerate over 2 tonnes in weight each, for very heavy traffic or areas where planters, furniture or other heavy objects may be placed.

Ultra-low height fully adjustable Minipad pedestals are ideal for refurb work.

Class A1 non-combustible fully adjustable pedestals are also available for balconies and high-rise projects and comply fully with BS 8579.
