Creating a Longer Lasting Decking Surface

    February 29th, 2016

The use of composite decking can help to ensure that your decking lasts a lifetime and thanks to the team at iDecking, the introduction of a new recycled composite decking system called DURO, solutions are now more environmentally friendly than ever before.

    What is Recycled Composite Decking?

For decking to be accurately described as being ‘eco friendly’ it must be produced in a way that does not negatively impact the environment.

Standard composite decking can range from materials such as fibreglass to plastic whilst the majority are mixtures of plastic and wood fibres.

Widely acknowledged to last longer than other forms of decking, they also require significantly less maintenance.

Thanks to iDecking Revolution, a leading company in terms of innovations in decking systems and materials, new eco-friendly recycled composite decking solutions have now hit the market!

What are Duro Timber Decking Tiles?

DURO is a brand new material developed by iDecking Revolution. Even though its formula is kept as a secret, DURO’s main ingredient is Rice Husk; a by-product in the processing of rice. This husk, when blended together with virgin polymers, makes this an incredibly versatile, strong and durable material.

DURO looks and feels extremely natural, it can be stained or treated for an extra level of protection using any colour available from iDecking. DURO is 100% recyclable and offers a completely eco-friendly solution to all decking projects.

DURO decking can be installed both on the EasyClick and EasyChange systems. Boards are available both with flat or anti-slip grooved surfaces.

Which are the highlights of DURO material?

    • Eco-Friendly – 100% Recyclable
    • Low maintenance
    • Extremely stable and durable
    • Can be treated and/or stained as you like
    • No splinters, barefoot walking is welcome!

    Introducing the Duro Excellence Range

The DURO Excellence line brings our signature composite material to the next level. It provides the most natural looking and durable coloured decking boards available. The Virgin PVC and Rice Husk compound is coloured before extrusion, this helps to guarantee colour uniformity and grain consistency all the way through each board. This makes the decking boards colour much more resistant in case of scratches and fading if compared to stained ones.

Six of them are finished with a wood grain effect making each board look unique! As it is for regular DURO, DURO Excellence is an Eco-Friendly and Natural feeling material. DURO Excellence even maintains the awesome effect of real wood grain and patina with time. DURO Excellence is available for both EasyClick and Easy Change iDecking installation systems.
