Great example of a green roof at Alhambra Palace, Granada, Spain

The beautiful gardens at Alhambra included an open air theatre. The back stage and rigging area was housed in a flat roofed structure cut into the hillside. The flat roof, which was visible from the public walkway, was planted up with a semi extensive roof garden, creating a seamless green space between the tree lined terraces and the theatre space.
