5mm PVC Discs For Paving & Timber Decking

Wallbarn 5mm thick pads are flat PVC discs which can be used to lift slabs or timber decking off waterproofing membranes.

The pad will lift paving off the surface by the minimal amount and is used mainly where installers wish to prevent sharp slabs or timber coming into direct contact with the membrane beneath.

The surface of this circular disc is flat. The solid circular discs are made from compound PVC with a smooth finish.

There are no positioning lugs within the design of the product – these discs are more for lift and separation than positioning. The better solution for those wishing to pave or suspend decking is to use the 6mm paving & decking pad or the 7mm paving & decking pad. 

However, if installers are held to only 5mm of height, they can add loose fitting cross spacers to help guide them. Obviously, these white spacers are loose fitted, so the paving line is not as secure as with an integrated paving pad, but sometimes adding additional cross spacers is useful at intervals, for example when refurbishing existing paving schemes.

Since the discs are made from PVC, they have a soft, flexible, hard wearing, non-slip profile; which means they protect the membrane beneath from damage. PVC will also offer acoustic properties and create a separation layer from the deck.

They are extremely tough and durable and will also not become brittle in cold weather.
