Drainage
Protecto-Drain 20G
Protecto-Drain G20 features high-quality, durable materials that offers secure protection when backfilling.
- Recycled and recyclable HDPE core
- Prevents water pressure from bearing against the structure
- Resistant to all chemicals normally found in the ground
- Withstands stresses and movement acting as a slip membrane as the backfill settles
- Extremely strong material, minimising the risk of damage when backfilling even when no protection board is used
- Very high compressive strength
- Suspended soil particles (fines) are filtered out by the Geotextile layer
- Quick and easy to install with a range of ancillary fixing and installation products
- Supplied in rolls of 2 x 10m

Wallbarn Protecto-Drain G20 is a highly effective 20 mm high protection and drainage system designed as a special solution for especially high-performance horizontal and vertical surface drainage on all pressure-resistant surfaces. PD G20 consists of a 20 mm high dimpled membrane and a sturdy Typar non-woven geotextile.
The smooth back side allows for a uniform and extensive load distribution on the waterproofing. This double-layer system protects the waterproofing below it from mechanical damage and damaging thermal stresses. PD G20 has a pressure resistance of 180 kN/m2 and is thereby capable of a load of up to 18 tonnes when installed.
Its excellent water draining capacity is approx. 30 times higher than required by drainage standard DIN 4095. PD G20 protects deep outer basement walls, earth-covered roofs of underground car parks, patios and green flat roofs against waterlogging. The moisture penetrates the geotextile and enters the ducts of the dimpled membrane, where it is securely drained.
In the process, the geotextile acts as a filter and prevents the ducts from getting clogged up. The optimal high-performance geotextile boasts very high initial strength with minimum deformation under increasing working load.

Used as a mechanical protection against soil and root movement along foundation walls. It can be installed with a 20cm overlap and fixed with nails and sealing buttons 5 cm from the top edges of the roll and 20cm from each roll. Edging profile is installed to prevent soil ingress into the cavity. Maximum build-up 8 metres high.
Laid horizontally and fixed using sealing tape in the overlapping areas the sheets protect concrete flooring form rising damp and keep reinforcement mesh in place firmly during the concrete works.
