Wallbarn has re-affirmed its commitment to great customer service and environmental performance by passing audits for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 with flying colours. The Croydon-based construction specialist has driven the use of recycled and recyclable materials in its products, focussed on reducing road miles throughout its supply chain and resolved to sourcing materials locally as much as possible.
These actions, coupled with placing customer service and product quality at the core of the organisation, allowed it to sail through both assessments, as Director Julian Thurbin explained: “We take quality control and environmental diligence very seriously,” he said. “Wallbarn, with its M-Tray modular green roofing system, operates in a very eco-aware area of the construction industry and we have embedded the requirements of this sector throughout our business, allowing us to demonstrates to the ISO assessors our genuine commitment to maintaining excellence in all areas.
“For both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 we were able to show the concrete steps we have taken to fulfill, and in many cases exceed, the required standards. Our systems are internally audited on a regular basis to ensure we provide the best service to our clients. It’s great to have independent verification of our ongoing efforts,” added Julian.
