What Are Class B Fire Rated Plastic Pedestals?

Wallbarn can manufacture our entire range of plastic pedestals in fire-rated Class B1. We do this by adding fire retardant chemicals to the plastic mix during the injection moulding process.

Therefore, the standard Class E range of:

• Megapads & TD Megapads
• Minipads and “Universal” Adjustable Height pedestals
• “Balance” self-levelling adjustable pedestals
• Fixed Height, including 7mm PVC & 14mm and 17mm HDPE pads

are now available with a fire rating of Class B1.

The entire range of paving & decking plastic pedestals have been tested and classified – as flooring materials – Class B fl S1 (very limited contribution to fire).

Class B pedestals have the same weight tolerance, the same temperature tolerance and same dimensions, and CAD & BIM detailing as the standard ranges.
