What Is The MetalPad for Decking?

MetalPad for Decking is designed to connect to Wallbarn’s specially profiled aluminium joist to create a solid substructure. Non-combustible, fully adjustable, Class A2-s1, d0 pedestal specially designed for high-rise balconies, terraces and flat roofs. 

Fire Rating

• MetalPad is made from stainless steel
• The headpiece is powder-coated to prevent reaction between steel and aluminium
• MetalPad for Decking is rated Class A2s1-d0
• Independently tested by Warrington Fire via a physical fi re test in accordance with BS EN 13823:2020

The report found:

• Lateral Flame Spread to End of Specimen? NONE
• Fall of Flaming Drop/Particle? NONE
• Flaming of Fallen Particle Exceeding 10s? NONE

Headpiece Design

• Curved lugs located towards the outer edge of headpiece
• Lugs click around ledges on Wallbarn profiled aluminium joist for secure fi  ing
• Decking boards fixed to a profiled aluminium rail
• Substructure requires no screws, mechanical fixings or drilling
• Allows for lateral movement of joist – expansion proof, no rupturing,
  no stress points
• Self-levelling headpieces for the smoother upper surface
